Provenance: This piece of Black Ribbon is from
Lincoln's Funeral and was part of a larger piece of ribbon sold in the
Lowell S. Newman Sale of March 12, 1993 (lot #5) entitled US Presidents
- Autographs and Ephemera. This ribbon was used during the burial
services of Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois and later displayed on the
day of President Harding's funeral by H. W. Fay, Custodian of Lincoln's
Tomb, in Springfield. Ex Gaston, Major Johnson and H. W. Fay. |

A Beautiful Lincoln image on a large die proof-like
engraving from the official US Bureau of Engraving & Printing who at
that time produced the stamps, currency, notes and revenue paper of the
US Government. This is the same impression used to make the Five Dollar
Bill. |

Impressed Engraving is by US Bureau of Printing and Engraving on
heavy folio stock. The outside Card dimensions are 6" wide by 8" tall.
